She has particular interest in applying high-end, specialized fitness programs for the purpose of sports injury rehabilitation, as well as overall conditioning for the physically challenged and older age groups.
Lissy began her career in nursing, and worked as an operating room R.N. for more than a decade, including at Fletcher Allen. She is also an experienced massage therapist and a former instructor of Kundalini yoga, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Vermont.
Lissy teaches both mat and reformer Pilates, and is known for the sense of humor and fun that she brings to every class, as well as her great technical knowledge of the Pilates practice. Lissy was introduced to the DaVinci BodyBoard in 2013, through her longtime friend and inventor of this new fitness platform. She was one of the first in the country to become certified in the DVBB method, co-authored the DVBB training manual, and now works as part of the DVBB creative team to move the method forward.
She continues to mother two exceptional daughters, both of whom are currently undergrads at UVM, and lives in Shelburne with her two dogs and a cat.
